F&L Technical Sales Inc. is a manufacturers' representative agency that was founded in 1999 by Howard Freedman and Jyrki Liedes. We specialize in cutting tools, workholding and metrology.
Partnering with principal manufacturers, F&L Technical Sales provides technical and sales support for the metalcutting manufacturing market in New England and New York. According to the USMTO reporting, our market area represents nearly 23% of the entire U.S. Metalcutting Market. Meet The F&L Technical Sales Team
Howard "Howie" Freedman
Howie is a founding partner of F&L Technical Sales. Strong in sales management and business development Howie started his career in 1973 as a Tool Coordinator at BLH Electronics. In 1976 he moved to Inside Sales at Chandler & Farquhar which is a very large Boston Industrial Distributor. In 1978 Howie joined the outside sales team. In1982 Howie joined The Colby Company, a large stocking Manufacturers Rep Agency as Regional Manager. Over time and gaining practical field experience, Howie became Sales Manager and then Vice President Sales. In 1999, he co-founded F&L Technical Sales in 1999 with Jyrki Liedes.
Howard resides in Russell, MA with his wife Jeannette and enjoys skiing and motorcycling.

Jyrki Liedes
Jyrki is a founding partner of F&L Technical Sales. Strong in business development, engineering, customer service and a graduate of the University of Vermont and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Jyrki started his career at Cincinnati Milacron as an R&D Engineer, followed by a Technical Program Manager at Rank Taylor Hobson. He furthered his career by working as a Product Manager for Iscar Metals. With fifteen years of engineering and manufacturing experience, he co-founded F&L Technical Sales in 1999 with Howard Freedman.
Jyrki is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

Alan Freedman
Allan served 5 years of active duty in US Coast Guard from 2011 through 2016 and attended Springfield Technical Community College where he studied CNC Programming, Metrology, CAD CAM, Manual Programming. He made the Deans List and at the completion of his academic eduction joined us in 2017 and began technical training with each of our principals.
Allan resides in Russel, MA.
